Project Purpose:
The purpose of the Rural Alaska Hospice Outreach (RAHO) project is to test whether hospice services provided by a rural demonstration hospice program to Medicare beneficiaries in rural Alaska who lack an appropriate caregiver and who reside in rural areas of Alaska would result in wider access to hospice services, benefits to the rural community, and a sustainable pattern of care.

  1. Project Service Area:

The RAHO project will serve the rural Alaskan population, including both tribal and non-tribal members, who reside within the Eastern Aleutian Tribes and Aleutian Pribilof Islands Association service area.
